Brainhack Notes is an independent publication about learning, making and collaborating in neuroscience.
What belongs here
Practical explanations of research workflows, project handovers, data organisation and collaboration. The emphasis is on helping a reader make a small piece of work understandable, rather than promising a shortcut to a scientific result.
The notes are introductory editorial guides. They are not clinical guidance, validated analysis protocols or substitutes for supervision. Examples distinguish suggestions from research findings, and institutional documentation is linked where a reader needs the authoritative detail.
Editorial independence
This publication is not operated by the former Brainhack Geneva event organisers and is not affiliated with EPFL, the University of Geneva or the institutions referenced in its articles. Historical event summaries concern past events. They do not advertise current registration, academic credit, speakers or organising teams.
References identify source material, not endorsement. The publication does not claim ownership of the earlier community’s research, software, event photography or personal experiences.
Reading and updates
Each guide carries its publication date. Historical pages label the year being discussed separately. There is no account or sign-up requirement, and the site does not accept research data, CVs or patient records.
